Continental offers offshore seawater intake and disposal systems designed particularly for floating production and storage vessels (FLNG, FPSO, etc.). These systems are on the market and may be purchased. Installing a saltwater intake system allows a facility to get low-oxygenated water for use in the cooling, utility, and water injection systems, which improves processing efficiency.
Continental is in charge of creating a variety of seawater intake riser systems that include flexible bonded rubber hoses. These are installed when the vessel is moored offshore, either from within the vessel's hull or from outside the vessel's hull, utilizing a hook-up mechanism that allows for field installation of the equipment without the need to deploy divers or ROVs for the location, connection, and testing.
